Stahlmeisters ontwikkelt machine data integratie voor Visual
Apex currently records labor on Work Orders in Infor ERP Visual using barcode scanners. Barcodes are manually scanned
from a work order traveler document whenever an operation is started, using a dedicated Infor application. When
finished, the operation is stopped manually using the same application. As a result, labor tickets are created in ERP that
include the machine, the operator and the operation data.

As these are manual actions performed by the operator, there is little consistency in the start and finish times of
operations: some operators may finish the setup of a machine before they record the start of the operation, whereas
others may scan the traveler before they even touch the roll.
The goal of this project is to improve consistency in actual operation start and finished times in Infor ERP Visual by using
machine data to record those. In other words: Apex wants the labor tickets in ERP to have start and finished times that
are set by the machine, not by the operator.
